A Buffalo Crossing recorded 'Funf' at Gateway recording school, Kingston-upon-Thames in mid 2003. Soon after I used the audio from 'Funf' to make 'Sechs', 'Acht' and 'Funfzehn' by editing and processing the recordings to make new beats, arrangements and sounds. I distinguished this 'reprocessing' as I called it from remixing because I didn't add any extra beats or parts, making everything solely from the original source material.

The band released the EP at our last gig, at the Spitz in Spitalfield's Market, in 2003. 'Acht' from this EP featured on Utrophia's 02 compilation, leading to a review from Dot-Alt magazine which said 'lush strings and chopped-up organic drumming, a mutating electric cello and waves of tape hiss, AMAZING', which felt so good to read I'm mentioning it now 15 years later.

The original EP featured two remixes by Richard Davis (aka 'Mook') in place of 'Funfzehn'. By the time the band split, violinist Fiona also created her own remixes, 'Elf' and Dreizehn', I created 'Zwolf' (which is too maddening to include here) and drummer Ross made 'Vierzehn'.
